Soccerworld is introducing Canada's First Beach Soccer League!

Beach soccer is finally coming to Toronto.

SoccerWorld is hosting a beach soccer tournament to be held in June 30th to July 2nd . The tournament will be the first of its kind in Ontario, bringing a faster, hotter version of the world's most popular sport to the province. Age groups range from Under- 10 to Under- 18 girls and boys' youth divisions as well as Adult Men's and Women's Open divisions. The Toronto tournament will be operated in partnership with the Etobicoke Youth Soccer Club while the Wasaga Beach event, is in partnership with the Barrie Soccer club and will be held in conjunction with the Wasaga Beach Fest. Since originating in Brazil in the 1980s, beach soccer has become a truly global sport, expanding to over 170 countries with international tournaments playing to host numerous professional teams from countries in the United States, Italy and Argentina. There are over 15 annual tournaments in North America, including the North American Sand Soccer championships in Virginia Beach. Soccer World is sending a team to compete in this prestigious tournament, kicking off June 9th.

Soccer World will also be hosting off a summer beach soccer league after the tournament in July at The Dock open to all, see below for more details.

Tournament Details

Teams:
Maximum 10 players per team
4 players plus 1 goalkeeper playing at a time.
Under 10-12s will play 7 a-side.

Uniforms:
Club uniforms required.

Prizes:
Custom medals, MVP awards, prizes by Sony and other prizes.
